Lives Changed: Royal Family Kids Camp
This summer, Saddleback Church had the joy of serving alongside Royal Family Kids Camp (RFKC) to bless children in the foster care system. Led by Jim Duggan, Saddleback joined 26 churches across three states and four countries to create a week full of hope, laughter, and unforgettable memories. With 42 campers, 82 week‑long teammates, 8 informal interns, 15 teen teammates, and about 20 one‑day volunteers, the camp was alive with energy and compassion. Together, we raised over $100,000 and shared the mission with nearly 1,300 people—spreading awareness of the deep needs and incredible resilience of these kids and their caregivers.
Moments from camp still bring smiles: watching Alyssa proudly show off her swimming bracelet, seeing Elle’s grin as she perched at the top of the carnival slide, and following Chloe’s adventurous hike across the creek. The air was filled with music, laughter, and even a little magic as campers performed tricks they had learned. These simple yet profound memories remind us how God can multiply our “fish and loaves” into life‑changing impact.
Thank you to every volunteer and supporter who made this possible. If you’re looking for a way to make a difference, mark your calendar for the first week of July next year and join us. And don’t miss Saddleback’s upcoming August events as we continue to serve and love children in the foster care system. Together, we’re changing lives—one camper at a time.
